Preparation instruction

1
We would like to thank Mildred of Depoe Bay Oregon for sending us this delicious deep fried watermelon rinds recipe.
2
To start the recipe you will first need to deskin and cube your watermelon rind.
3
Next take out a medium size mixing bowl, and add in the all purpose white flour. Coat the watermelon rinds in this flour, making sure it's evenly done.
4
Next take out a smaller mixing bowl, and stir together the egg whites, pure cornstarch, and bottled water, until a nice batter forms.
5
Next take out a wok or frying skillet, and heat the Wesson vegetable oil to roughly 250 degrees Fahrenheit, or 120 degrees Celsius.
6
You can now start dipping your watermelon rinds into the batter, and then into the sizzling hot oil. Cook the watermelon rinds until the coating hardens, then turn off the heat and let the rinds simmer until they are golden brown.
7
Finally, remove the rinds from the oil, place them on a paper towel lined plate, then sprinkle them with the powdered confectioner's sugar. That's a wrap on this recipe, we hope you enjoyed it.
